The venue of this conference will be KANAZAWA BUNKA HALL (Kanazawa Culture Hall) in the center of Kanazawa city, Ishikawa prefecture. The venue is about 1.7km from JR (Japan Railway) Kanazawa station. It takes 10 minutes by taxi or 15 minutes by bus or 25 minutes on foot.

Access to Kanazawa
Kanazawa city is located about 300 km northwest of Tokyo. The nearest airport from the venue is Komatsu airport (KMQ), which is located about 40 minutes by airport limousine bus from JR Kanazawa station. In addition to domestic flights from Tokyo (HND, NRT) and Fukuoka (FUK) etc., there are international flights from Seoul, Shanghai, Taipei, and HongKong, but the frequency is not so high.
Participants from overseas can reach Kanazawa city also by train from Tokyo, Nagoya, and Osaka. Kanazawa city is 2h30 away from Tokyo using the Bullet Train (called “Shinkansen” in Japanese), and is also 2h30 away from Osaka using the Limited Express “Thunderbird”.
Since the Tokyo Olympics will be held in August 2020, it may be difficult to make reservations for flights to and from Haneda or Narita airports. We recommend you book your flights early or consider using an international flight other than Tokyo.
Accommodation
Kanazawa has a wide range of hotels with prices starting from around 6000 JPY/night (single room) which may be easily booked via the usual web based booking sites. There are many reasonable hotels from the Kanazawa station area to the Kohrinbo & Katamachi area (Kanazawa city center), where is easy to access the venue for participants.
