Title : Roles of the tensor and pairing correlations on the halo formation in 11Li

Abstract :

The 11Li nucleus is well-known to have a neutron structure with a large 1s-wave component.
However, the mechanism of large mixing of 1s-wave, namely the disappearance of 1s-0p shell gap,
is still unsolved.
In this study, we solve this mechanism with paying attension to the tensor and pairing correlations.
We describe 11Li with the extended 9Li+n+n cluster model.
We solve first 9Li in the shell model basis to take into account the tensor correlation fully.
Next, in 11Li, the tensor correlation in 9Li are Pauli-blocked by additional two neutrons.
The blocking makes the p-wave configurations pushed up and become close to those of the 1s wave.
Hence the pairing interaction of last two neutrons works to mix the two configurations by equal amount and develop the halo structure in 11Li.
We furthermore discuss the recent observations of the Coulomb breakup strength and the charge radil for 11Li.
