Call for Project Proposals for Experiments at the RCNP

A category of Projects is newly prescribed at the RCNP Physics Program Advisory Committee (P-PAC). A project is defined as the one the size of which is large to be deliberated at the RCNP Beam-time Program Advisory Committee (B-PAC). For example, a proposal which satisfy at least one of the following conditions is considered as a project.

  b. Experiments which request budgets larger than 10 millions JPY in total to RCNP.
  c. Experiments which request beamtime longer than 30 days/year.
  d. Projects for constructing new equipment or for doing fundamental
developments which are expected to be widely used in other experiments.
  e. Other proposals which are categorized as projects by the P-PAC.

A project proposal may be submitted to the Director of RCNP at any time. The proposal will be reviewed by the P-PAC or a sub-committee will be organized for this purpose. The sub-committee may appoint additional members from outside of P-PAC. The proposal is deliberated at the sub-committee and at the P-PAC. The spokesperson is requested to give an oral presentation at the sub-committee or P-PAC. The director makes a discretion based on the report of the P-PAC.

The followings must be described in detail in the proposal.
