What is GCN Osaka?

GCN-Osaka is an online community primarily targeted at international students and scholars at Osaka University.

On this site, information for foreigners such as the e-learning system for learning Japanese, local city information, medical/child care information, used second-hand goods information and other information is posted. Exchanging information between fellow community members using native languages is also possible through the use of a bulletin board system (BBS). You can also look for housing and ask for information on specific accommodations on this site.

In addition, GCN-Osaka also has a registration system of tutors who will assist international students with their studies and daily activities. The site also posts useful infomation on studying abroad and learning English, so it can be beneficial towards Japanese students interested in international exchange/studying abroad as well graduate students and researchers that wish to advance their careers internationally.

Some of the pages require an ID and a password. Students, researchers and faculty members at Osaka University should register for an ID from the Top Page of GCN-Osaka.
