Intensive Japanese Language Program: Suita Campus
An intensive program of around six months, designed mainly for those who receive the Japanese government's (Monbu-Kagaku-sho) scholarships with Japanese embassy recommendations.

These non-credit courses are divided into three levels and held twice a year during the spring and fall semesters.
Elective Japanese Language Program: Suita/Toyonaka Campus
Open for all international students. General and technical Japanese courses are offered in six levels from 1 to 3 times per week. Each student may choose courses in accordance with her or his Japanese proficiency level and academic requirements. These non-credit courses are held twice a year in the spring and fall semesters.

General Education Courses - Japanese Subjects (Liberal Arts and Sciences): Toyonaka Campus (One unit only at Suita Campus)
Two courses, "Japanese Language" and "Multicultural Communication", are offered for regular international undergraduate students in their second language, whose subject is related to Japanese.
Japanese Courses for KOSMOS: Suita/Toyonaka Campus
This is part of the preliminary education of "Korean Students of Science Major at Osaka University with the Special Scholarship" program (KOSMOS). A six-month program designed for Korean students, who plan to study scientific or engineering subjects at Osaka University.

This is a program for foreign researchers and also for the families of international students, foreign researchers and faculty.

The Japanese Studies Program: Minoh Campus
Intended for undergraduate-level Japanese government scholars specializing in Japanese Studies, this one-year program consists of the Practical Japanese Course and the Research Course, and the latter is further subdivided into the Japanese Language Research Sub-course and the Japanese Cultural Studies Sub-course.

Undergraduate Students Program: Minoh Campus
This is a one-year preparatory program for international students who come to Japan to study in Japanese universities with a Japanese government scholarship. Students are classified into the "Humanities/Social Sciences" and" Natural Sciences" courses, according to their fields of study. Each course is further divided into two levels.

Maple Program: Minoh Campus
The Maple Program is one of the short-term student exchange programs for one year, and is promoted by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT), and the Japan Student Service Organization (JASSO).
