A copy of the proceedings will be mailed to each registered participant as early as possible after publication. The XVI International Conference on Particles and Nuclei(PANIC02) will be held through September 30 - October 4, 2002 in Osaka, Japan. The conference venue is Osaka International House, which is located in the downtown of Osaka city and has an access by bus of 30 minutes ride from Kansai International Airport. The old capitals of Japan, Nara and Kyoto, are nearby.
The PANIC conference has been held every three years, last one at Uppsala in June 1999. We belive the coming PANIC is very important to summarize the present status of the research fields covered by PANIC and to identify the directions of the research in the beginning of the 21st century. There are many active researches being performed in various Institutes.
