PENTAQUARK04 *

July 20-23, 2004 at SPring-8, Japan

One year after the first publication (PRL 91, 012002) of the exotic pentaquak particle which is now called Θ⁺, this international workshop will be held at Spring-8, where the discovery of Θ⁺ was made.

The purpose of this workshop is to discuss the continuously updated experimental and theoretical work related with the exotic multiquark states not only Θ⁺ but also other exotic hadronic states. Those states may include Θ⁺, Ξ^--, Λ(1405), N(1440), ... kaonic nuclei and other multiquark states. By making intensive discussions, we hope to explore further possibilities on the rich structure of the hadronic matter, to open doors to the landscape of particle and nuclear physics, from both experimental and theoretical sides.

In order to make this workshop practical, we are considering:
* Only plenary sessions will be arranged (no parallel session)
* Allot discussion time as much as possible
* Arrange poster presentations for detailed discussions
* Ask all speakers to provide their presentations ready for posting on the web

Furthermore
* No registrations will be required
* A small payment for banquet and coffee-and-cookies
