Masayoshi Tanaka
Working style and working area:
I am currently involved in the experimental study on a broad range of
the natural science (from Quark Physics to Life Science) using
technique based on either atomic physics or nuclear physics.
In particular, "spin" and "polarization" for atoms, leptons, and
baryons are key-words leading to my research.
A major part of my scientific activity is undergoing at RCNP,
and Dept. of Physics, Osaka University, Japan.
At moment, the subjects that attract my great interest are the
"gravity", the last sanctuary of the four forces in nature.
On the other hand, I have, for a long time, been involved to develop
a polarized 3He ion source to be dedicated to nuclear physics
research at the intermediate and high energy region.
Philosophy of my working style is that one should seriously
think everything placing one's own back against the wall.
