By using the (3He,t) reaction and subsequent decay by particle or gamma emission, isovector giant resonances and their microscopic structures can be investigated. My work mainly concerns itself with the isovector giant monopole resonances and their decay by proton emission (subject of my PhD. thesis (KVI Groningen) and upcoming proposal for RCNP Osaka) and the decay by gamma emission from the spin-dipole resonance (data taken at RCNP Osaka).
