・Summary
- Can locate devices connected to the RCNP's network
- Search can be done using any of the following.
- IP address
- DNS name
- MAC address
・How to locate devices
- Login screen
In web-browser access SYSTEM A (https://www.rcnp.osaka-u.ac.jp/netmanage1/)
Use your RCNP computer account's username and password to login.
On the right side of the page there is an image with characters in it.
Write the characters in the indicated field.(If you can't read the characters press "Next Candidate")
Click "Login".

- Main Menu
Click "Search for place of device".

- Locating device
Input the information which you want to search with and click "Search".
- Searching with IP Address
If the device is registered in the database will also show DNS name and MAC address.
If the device is not registered in the database will lookup the MAC address with ARP and then locates the devices.
- Searching with DNS name.
Will show both IP address and MAC address.
Locates the device withe the shown MAC address.
- Searching with MAC address.
Locates the device withe the given MAC address.
If the device registered in the database will also show IP address and DNS name.
If the device is not registered IP address and DNS name won't be shown.
By clicking 「△▽」 above the list will get the list sorted based on the column you click it from.
On first click in ascending and on second click descending order.
Sorting with multiple columns is supported. When shorting with multiple columns the one clicked later will take preference.
