研究の目的・概要：

本研究は、eta-prime(958)中間子の有限密度中での質量減少の実験的な検証の実現に向けた理論研究を行ったものである。eta-prime中間子の質量は、UA(1)量子異常の存在とカイラル対称性の自発的破れの効果があいまって決定されると考えられていることを踏まえ、有限密度内での中間子の質量減少を検証することにより、カイラル対称性の部分的回復の効果、UA(1)量子異常の媒質中での振る舞いを明らかにする事を目的とした。

具体的には、eta-prime(958)中間子を原子核に束縛させ、そのスペクトラムをピークとして観測することで、eta-prime 中間子の質量減少を観測し、eta'(958)中間子の性質を明らかにしようとするものである。具体的には原子核に陽子を入射させ、射出される重陽子を観測する(p,d)反応による束縛状態の生成に関し、理論的に生成スペクトラムを計算し、最適な入射エネルギー、最適な標的原子核などに関する具体的検証を行い、その観測可能性について明らかにした。更に、光生成、pi生成などについても考察した。また、理論模型の改良として微視的な相互作用から結合チャネル法を用いたeta-prime原子核光学ポテンシャルを導出し、エネルギー依存性を考慮した形で検証を行い、束縛エネルギーおよび崩壊幅の見積もりをおこなった。
