How to use the RCNP library A.) On-line Search Before coming into the library, you can check if the book you want is served by our library. The on-line catalog of our library is: http://www.rcnp.osaka-u.ac.jp/Divisions/lib/db/index.html A1. RCNP call number If you hit the target book, check the 'RCNP call number' which suggests where the book is located. e.g. G-99-25 corresponding label ------ G: classification by contents | G | 99: year of copyrights (1999) | 99 | 25: serial number of the year | 25 | ------ 5th Floor: C to M, SJ & SE; Japanese Journals, Annual reports of related Institutes 4th Floor: A, P; Journals in general see Appendix for details B.) Registration B1. All Journals are forbidden to be taken out of the library. Please make copies at 4th Floor. B2. Books of "A" field, handbooks and dictionaries etc., are not allowed to be taken out. B3. Books of "C" to "P" are allowed for 2-weeks use. Fill in the tag at the registration desk either on 4th or 5th floor. Set the tag on the back of a green substitute and put it in place of the book you take. Do not fail to write 1) RCNP Call number 2) Title of the book 3) Your Name! at least, so as those who also wish to refer the same book on urgent can access to it without fail. C.) After use When you finish the book, you may just put it on the book wagon settled beside the door to the library at 5th floor. These books will be put back in the shelves by the librarian. Appendix Classifications: All the books are classsified by the field of their contents as in the list below.
