Japan-US seminar on "Double Beta Decay and Neutrinos"

Dear Neutrino Physics colleagues,

This is the 2nd circular of the International Workshop on "Double Beta Decay and Related Neutrino Measurements" (DBD09), which will be held from October 11 to 13, 2009 in Hawaii, USA.

The workshop focus will be neutrinoless double beta decay - current experimental efforts, theoretical developments, technological challenges for the future and will include discussions on closely related experimental measurements.

We plan on inviting all known neutrinoless double beta decay experimental collaborations to the workshop to present their status and plans. The main purpose of this workshop is an open discussion of current and future directions in the study of neutrinoless double beta decay and related neutrino physics.

Subjects to be discussed include:

  • Neutrinoless double beta decay
  • Direct neutrino mass limits
  • Neutrino oscillations
  • Short and long baseline experiments
