HOW TO TAKE A SHIFT
Normal Run

Login leps07.
-
Start DAQ.
leps07:online>> NTPConline

Start online analyzer. In another terminal,
At present, online analyzer starts automatically.
When you need to start it by hand, do as follows.
leps07:online>> cd ~/user_UNIDAQ/bin
leps07:online>> ./ntpcOn2.44 ( <--changed on 2008Apr06 )

Start recorder. Click recorder button.

Enter run number and comment. Click start button to run data taking.

Check online histogram.
leps07:online>> DAQNTPC paw
>> ntpcall

Record target condition, TPC pressure, and solenoid temperature.
If solenoid temperature is below 3.6mV, call PHS3245 (Nakatsugawa).

Stop a run. Click stop button.
1run ~ 7GB (2008 July 15)
A shell script watching data size alarms when data size get over 7GB.

After run stop, print histograms.
In the terminal of "DAQNTPC paw",
>> printntpc --> print hit pattern of scintillators and DC's
Login leps11.(ssh -X leps11)
leps11:online>> cd ntpc/evdis-N8.11d-Jan08/bin
leps11:online>> ./run.sh [run number] --> print ADC and TDC of TPC

Fill the scaler infomation to excel file.
In the windows machine next to DAQ PC, you can find the run summary exel file.
Bring the cursor to date column and press "Ctrl-G". Data is filled automatically.
Fill the number of events and TPC pressure by hand.

Change the run number and go to next run.(-->5)

To exit DAQ, click 'file' tab of the "NTPC Online Monitor System"
and select 'exit'.
After the message "Finished the script..... lep7v00" appears,
execute next commands;
leps07:online>> ps x
and
leps07:online>> ipcs
Make sure all DAQ processes have been terminated and
shared memory has been released.
If any processes are still alive, kill them.
leps07:online>> kill -9 [process id]
If shared memory is not released, execute next command;
leps07:online>> Reset_local yes
Try "ps x" and "ipcs" again, and make sure all DAQ processes
have been terminated and shared memory has been released.
Pedestal Run
0. Take Pedestal data for every 5 runs.
1. Make sure DAQ program of normal run finish completely.
-> ps x , ipcs
2. Switch trigger for TPC FADC from LEPStrigger to clock trigger.
3. Close laser shutter. (not to take data of real events)
4. Login leps00
leps00:online>> cd ntpc/evdis-8.03ped
5. Run pedestal data taking.
leps00:online>> ./mkped_ntpc [run number]
7. Analyzer estimates pedestal level.
If some channels have large or negative pedestal,
their channel number are
shown by "less" command. (Press "q" to go ahead.)
If you find negative pedestal, try pedestal run again. (Change run number.)
If negative channel doesn't disappear, tune the pedestal level.
If you don't know how to tune, call Nakatsugawa.
8. Return trigger for TPC FADC from clock trigger to LEPStrigger
and open laser shutter.
9. Make sure DAQ program of pedestal run finish completely.
Event Display
To run event display, login leps11,
leps11:online>> cd ntpc/evdis-N8.12/bin
leps11:online>> ./Evdis.sh [run number]
q|np>
enter -- next event
p -- handle TPC --> you can grab and rotate TPC with cursol.
To quit, click file tab and select "quit".
q -- quit event display
Solenoid
Keep watching solenoid current,
http://ayagiku/cgi-bin/proto/frame0.py?id=122136
in the windows machine lepdell01 near the printer.
This page can not be seen in other PCs.
Solenoid quenches due to some troubles, for example, short blackout.
If solenoid quenches, current goes down to 0A.
IN CASE OF QUENCH
1.Call Nakatsugawa immediately.(PHS 3245)
If Yosoi-san stays SP8, call him too.
2.To Japanese members,
Call shift leader of SP8 operators.
(Get phone number from status page)
「ソレノイドがクエンチしました。軌道に影響がないか確認してください。」と伝えてください。
3.DO NOT OPEN THE HATCH.
That's all of actions in case of quenching.
