eduroam

eduroamは、大学や研究所等の学術関係組織が相互に連携し、以下のことを実現する国際的なネットワークローミングサービス（フェデレーション）です。

• 自組織のeduroam IDを使用して、他組織の無線LANサービスを利用できるようにする。
• 他組織のeduroam IDを使用して、自組織の無線LANサービスを提供できるようにする。

もちろん、自組織のeduram IDを使用して自組織内で利用することも可能です。

例えば、京都大学で発行されたeduroam IDを持っている場合、そのIDを使用して、大阪大学およびRCNP内のeduroamサービスを事前の手続きなしでそのまま利用することができます。
逆に、大阪大学やRCNPのeduroam IDを持っていれば、京都大学やKEKなど、他のeduroam参加機関のネットワークを事前の手続きなしで利用することができます。

RCNPを訪問する方は、あらかじめ自身の所属機関でeduroam IDを取得して来訪すると、新たな手続きの必要なく、RCNPの全域で無線LANを利用できます。

eduroam is an international roaming service (federation) for academic organizations such as universities and research institutes. It enables institutions to mutually collaborate to:

• Allow users to access the wireless LAN services of other participating institutions using their home institution's eduroam ID.
• Allow visitors from other institutions to access your institution's wireless LAN service using their own eduroam IDs.

Naturally, you can also use your home institution's eduroam ID to connect to the network within your own institution.

For example, if you have an eduroam ID issued by Kyoto University, you can use it to access the eduroam service at Osaka University and RCNP without any prior procedures.
Conversely, if you have an eduroam ID issued by Osaka University or RCNP, you can use it to access the networks of other eduroam participating institutions, such as Kyoto University and KEK, without any prior procedures.

If you are visiting RCNP, obtaining an eduroam ID from your home institution in advance will allow you to use the wireless LAN throughout RCNP without the need for any additional registration.

eduroam CAT (Configuration Assistant Tool)

RCNPのeduroam ID（「RCNP CNアカウントID」@rcnp.osaka-u.ac.jp）を使用して、RCNP内外を問わずeduroamを利用する場合、設定ツール「eduroam CAT (Configuration Assistant Tool)」の利用が可能です。
When connecting to eduroam (both inside and outside RCNP) using your RCNP eduroam ID (i.e., "RCNP CN Account ID"@rcnp.osaka-u.ac.jp), you can use the setup tool "eduroam CAT (Configuration Assistant Tool)".

RCNP内のeduroamで利用可能な通信と制限事項 / Available Services and Restrictions on eduroam at RCNP

RCNP内のeduroamでは、以下の通信が可能です。
The following services are available on the eduroam network at RCNP:

• Webサイトの閲覧（HTTP、HTTPS） / Web browsing (HTTP, HTTPS)
• メールの送受信（SMTPS、POPS、IMAPS、Submission） / Sending and receiving emails (SMTPS, POPS, IMAPS, Submission)
• VPNの利用 / VPN connections
• SSHの利用 / SSH connections
• RCNP内に設置されているプリンタの利用 / Access to printers installed at RCNP

RCNP内のeduroamに関する制限事項は以下の通りです。
The following restrictions apply to the eduroam network at RCNP:

• 上記以外のプロトコルは利用できません。 / Protocols other than those listed above are not permitted.
• 暗号化されていないメールプロトコルは利用できません。 / Unencrypted email protocols cannot be used.
• 一部の特殊なVPNは利用できない場合があります。 / Some specific or non-standard VPNs may not be available.

大阪大学内でのeduroam利用可能場所 / eduroam Coverage Areas at The University of Osaka

RCNPおよび大阪大学内でeduroamが使用できるアクセスポイント(AP)の地図は以下の通りです。

eduroam JP 認証連携IDサービス

「eduroam JP 認証連携IDサービス」は、学認 (GakuNin) または eduroam が指定する IdP (Identity Provider) を利用して、eduroamに接続するためのIDを発行するサービスです。
