Network
(wired and fixed IPs)
There are two network segments in the
Ring Cyclotron facility.
One is the general purpose network, and
the other is the kakuri1 network for the
Data AcQuisition (DAQ) and the control
of experimental instruments.
The kakuri1 network covers the whole area
of the Ring Cyclotron facility, whereas the
general purpose network is available only
in the Ring 2F and BF counting rooms.

Wireless Network
(kakuri1 network)
A recently installed wireless network system
covers the main part of the Ring Cycotron
facility.
The system belongs to the kakuri1 network
segment, and the IP address will be
assigned dynamically with the DHCP service.
Please register the MAC address of your
NIC in order to use this service.

DHCP service
You can connect your personal computer (PC)
to our local area network.
The IP address will be assigned dynamically
with the DHCP service.
The connection is restricted to senri and saho
with SSH.
Please use the HTTP proxy service on www-in
in order to see home pages outside of RCNP.

Super Kakuri1 Network
(Kakuri1 GigaBit Network)
The Super-kakuri1 (Kakuri1 GigaBit) network uses the
optical-fiber connection for the GigaBit data
transfer to the main computing system.
This network is now available at the West experimental
hall, and it will be used for the next generation
high speed Data AcQuistion (DAQ) system of the two-arm
spectrometer system.
