Hello! I’m Takato Sugisaki. My research theme is “Development of an imaging system using beta-ray detected nuclear magnetic resonance”. We irradiate spin-polarized radioisotopes into a sample and detect beta rays emitted from the sample. By doing so, we can investigate the sample interior without any contact or destruction. We are aiming to establish the system and improve the imaging technique. We usually conduct experiments at HIMAC in Chiba. In addition, we are going to carry out experiments at TRIUMF in Canada this year and next year. I appreciate many supports from PQBA and many people, who give me a great environment to research.

I have many hobbies and my favorite one is sports. I like playing as well as watching sports. In particular, we have FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 in November, so I’m looking forward to it so much! Also, I sometimes watch baseball games at Koshien with my lab colleagues. When I go somewhere to join an experiment, I sometimes go running.

I will have been researching at TRIUMF for a year since October this year. I must study English as well as physics:).
