I specialize in experimental particle physics. Elementary particles are closely related to the origin and evolution of the universe. Among them, I am particularly interested in the Higgs boson, which was discovered in 2012. This discovery revealed how elementary particles acquire mass. The Higgs field, which is associated with the Higgs boson, permeates the universe and interacts with elementary particles. The strength of this interaction determines the mass of elementary particles.
However, the properties of the Higgs field are not fully understood. I believe that studying them will help us better understand the universe.
I am currently involved in the ATLAS experiment at the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN). The ATLAS experiment uses the Large Hadron Collider (LHC), the world's highest energy accelerator, to search for new particles and study the properties of elementary particles. As part of ATLAS experiment, I am involved in upgrading the silicon pixel detector.
In the future, I also plan to analyze the collected data.
