I belong to a laboratory for particle experiments and am participating in the COMET experiment, which explores the process by which a muon interacting with a nucleus converts into an electron. This phenomenon cannot be explained by the Standard Model, and if observed, it would provide evidence for the existence of new physics. The muon-electron conversion process requires the use of a high-intensity beam because the probability of its occurrence is very low. I am working on the development of a trigger system that eliminates a large number of background events and ensures that we do not miss the signal of the conversion electrons.

During my undergraduate years, I was a member of the particle theory laboratory at Kanazawa University. I would like to contribute to the development of particle physics by challenging the observation of new physics using my experience in the theory laboratory.
