The theme of my research is about cancer radiotherapy.
In 2019, the phenomenon was reported that cell survival fraction decreases when particle beam irradiates cells applying a longitudinal magnetic field.

This effect leads to an enhancement in the effectiveness of cancer radiotherapy. The cause of this effect needs to be clarified for clinical application.
In my research, I focus on OH radicals, produced by irradiation in vivo, which mainly contribute to death of cancer cells. I conduct experiments and simulations to verify the hypothesis that OH radicals are the cause of reduced cell viability.
