Useful commands

Artemis has several available commands.

You need to register the commands in artemislogon.C.

Below is a list of commands that the author frequently uses.

  • help : Type this when you forget a command.
  • add : A command to read a yaml file.
  • res : A command to start an analysis using the loaded yaml file.
  • fls : Outputs a list of the loaded TFiles.
  • fcd : Specifies the number for a TFile.
  • proc : Outputs the parameter list required for the processor.
  • zone : Creates the standard TCanvas (artcanvas) in Artemis.
  • gcom : Sets global comment on artcanvas (doesn’t disappear even if you execute ‘zone’).
  • comment : Sets comment on artcanvas (disappears when you execute ‘zone’).
  • save : A command to save the artcanvas in .root, .pdf, and .png formats.
  • lgz : Sets the z-axis to a logarithmic scale. lgx and lgy are also available.
  • lnz : Sets the z-axis to linear. lgx and lgy are also available.
  • ht : Draws the histogram by specifying its number.
  • hn : Draws the histogram of the next number.
  • hp : Draws the histogram of the previous number.
  • slo : Uses GUI to draw a straight line on artcanvas.
  • avx : Slices TH2 for each X bin and fits it with a Gaussian.
