History of Accelerator Facilities 

1962 Science Council of Japan recommends establishment of Institute of Nuclear Physics.
1971 The Physics Research Center of Osaka University is established as a national joint-use center. 
1973 AVF Cyclotron(K=140MeV) completed.
1976 Start of joint-use experiments.
1987 Construction of the Ring Cyclotron facility begins.
1991 Ring Cyclotron(K=400MeV) completed.
2005 Partial renewal and expansion of AVF cyclotron, ring cyclotron, beamlines, control systems, etc.
2019 Renovation of accelerator facility building and equipment.
2020~2021 AVF Cyclotron is fully upgraded.
2022 Beam commissioning and test use of the beam begins.
2023 Resumed full-scale experiments for joint use.
