「浜ラボ」とは
What is "Hama Lab"?

「浜ラボ」は、浜通り環境放射線研修をきっかけに、その理念をもとに結成された、理系学生による自主的な研究グループです。
浜通り環境放射線研修では、帰還困難区域の内外や、除染が行われた地域・行われていない地域において、空間線量率の測定を行います。あわせて、土壌や植物を採取し、放射能濃度を調べます。
「浜ラボ」は、こうした研修の中で生まれた疑問や気づきを出発点に、放射線についてより深く、科学的に探究する活動を行う場です。
浜ラボに参加する学生は、自ら研究テーマを設定し、浜通り地域での現地調査や測定を行いながら研究を進めます。大学のさまざまな分野の研究者から助言を受けられるため、自発的に学び、主体的に研究に取り組める環境が整っています。
また、大学生だけでなく、学校教員や中学生・高校生も受け入れ、浜通り地域で放射線について学ぶ機会を広げていきたいと考えています。

Hama Lab is a research group run by students. It was created by science students and is inspired by the ideas of the Hamadori Environmental Radiation Training Program.
The Hamadori Environmental Radiation Training Program involves measuring ambient dose rates in and around areas designated as difficult-to-return zones, as well as in both decontaminated and non-decontaminated areas. Participants also collect soil and plant samples to measure radioactivity concentrations.
Hama Lab builds on the questions and insights that arise during this training program, using them as a starting point for deeper, scientific exploration of radiation-related topics.
Students participating in Hama Lab identify their own research themes and conduct field surveys and measurements in the Hamadori region. With guidance from researchers from various academic disciplines, students are able to carry out their studies in an environment that encourages independent learning and proactive research.
In addition to university students, Hama Lab also welcomes school teachers, as well as junior high and high school students, with the aim of expanding opportunities to learn about radiation in the Hamadori region.

2025年度は、大阪大学工学部の学生と岐阜大学教育学部物理科の学生が活動しています。大学の授業の合間に、自分の関心のあるテーマについて、自分のペースで研究を進めています。

活動拠点
大阪大学福島拠点を活用し、主に大熊町と飯舘村で活動しています。今後、浜通り全域を対象に活動を広げていきたいと考えています。
