Title:Radioimmunotherapy
Abstract:
Radioimmunotherapy is a treatment strategy that combines radiotherapy with immunotherapy to enhance the immune response against cancer. While radiotherapy directly shrinks tumors by damaging DNA of irradiated tumors, it also causes non-irradiated tumors to shrink, a phenomenon known as the abscopal effect. This phenomenon is considered to be induced by the immune system, and mice experiments have shown that the abscopal effect can be induced more frequently when immune checkpoint inhibitors are combined. In this seminar, I will talk about radiotherapy and tumor microenvironment.

Title: Physics beyond the Standard Model and radiative seesaw models
Abstract:
The Standard Model (SM) of particle physics is a successful theory describing three fundamental interactions in the universe and classifying all observed elementary particles. However, there are some physics phenomena that the SM cannot explain, including the origin and smallness of neutrino mass, dark matter and the matter-antimatter asymmetry in the universe. In this talk, we give a brief introduction of particle physics and the SM. We revisit a radiative model with the latest constraints from dark matter searches, neutrino oscillations, flavor experiments and collider experiments. We also mention the testability of these benchmark scenarios at future experiments.
